Spring news

maggiesmith123

At last some warmth in the air and some sun, although it is raining as I write this. It has been a very wet winter indeed.

Very excited to be hosting another Devon Makers Markets event with fellow printmaker, Emma Cook, in April.

This time at the beautiful setting of Sturtlebury Barn, Loddiswell.

Involving nearly 20 artisans it promises to be a lovely event just before Easter.

Just before this I am running a Linocut workshop with wonderful tutor, Ann Burnham on Thursday 3rd April in my studio. Look on the workshops page for more info.

I am on the intial stages of working on a new book which I hope to write this year and publish next year and am looking for a venue to have another solo exhibition to launch the book.

The garden as always calls out to be worked on and I am finding it harder and harder to manage it as it's a big plot. The plan this year is to make it easier and to make the vegetable plot much smaller. Grass will be planted I think!

I am trying to carve out more time for studio work, January was quite a barren time for me but I was gathering ideas and now, finally, getting some of them on paper.

February, being a short month always runs away with me and suddenly we are in March and into the year.

Let's get creative, just do it!

Good luck,

Maggie x
